I added the German keyboard to my iPad; it just appears on the screen and is not a real keyboard. Now I can type on my iPad screen some German characters that are not used in English such as Ö, ä, and ß. I also found
“Wiederholen” and “Widerrufen” keys on the screen keyboard. Actually, I am not sure of the difference between “redo” and “undo.” I have not noticed the existence of the two keys on the US keyboard.

A note regarding your ‘Notizen’:
Both those words show clearly the difference between the meaning of “wieder” (again, once more) and “wider” (against, detracting). Many Germans have difficulty with the correct spelling, so, well done!
Du magst mir widersprechen, aber selbst wiederholter Einspruch wird meine Meinung über das Geschriebene nicht ändern! (A more than stilted sentence, but a good example of the orthography of ‘your’ words.)

Beim iPad eine Tastatur hinzufügen :
Einstellungen, klicken
Allgemein , klicken…runter rollen bis
Tastatur ( unterhalb von Datum & Uhrzeit)
klicken, runter rollen bis Tastaturen, klicken und dann Sprache auswählen und hinzufügen.
Da gibt es sogar Arabisch und Thai und und und …
Fürs Deutsche gibt es natürlich auch die Schweizer Variante
