What exactly happens on your end when you try to select phrase on iPad?

I have trouble dragging the right portion of text even on iPhone: I can’t select the range I want to highlight at will. I’ll inevitablly choose the irrelevant portion of text. It’s especially so when I need to select text that belongs to different lines.

For example, I can’t choose “Si on pratique une lange”, I’m forced to choose “Si on pratique une lange, ça”, which doesn’t make sense.

BTW I wrote to support for help weeks ago. No reply.
