Hello, I’m new to Lingq. I’m trying to learn the website but it’s really diffucult and unintuitive. I started with adding languages that I want to learn. My interface language is set to English, my native language is set to English, but everytime I add a language or change the language to learn, my interface language changes to Polish! Why? It’s really annoying. I don’t want to use Polish interface (I understand Polish, but it is machine translation with a lot of poor or bad translations), I want to use English. How to fix it?
Also, if I want to change the interface language in /web/settings/apps/general it doesn’t always work.
Starting from Login - LingQ , I set the language to English - it doesn’t change. It’s stil Polish. So I edited the url, and change “pl” to “en” ->https://www.lingq.com/en/learn/srp/web/settings/apps/general
Then I changed the interface language to Nederlands - it worked. Then to English… and the interface language changed to Polish.
Could you please fix it or tell me how I can fix it? I want my interface language to be always English.
Without it, I can’t go further.
You can change interface language under Settings > General.
However, make sure not to open any direct LingQ page with Polish language code in the url as that will switch the language back to Polish.

I don’t know if you read my whole post and I thought I made myself clear. But I’ll try to explain it again:
1) My interface language is set to English
2) Let’s say I’m studying Dutch now, so I am on https://www.lingq.com/en/learn/nl/web/library
3) After Dutch I want to practise another language, so from the list on the right I choose another language, let’s say Russian.
4) I’m clicking a link “Russian” which is https://www.lingq.com/learn/ru/web/library
5) After a few seconds I am on https://www.lingq.com/pl/learn/ru/web/library - pl after https://www.lingq.com/ means that my interface language switched to Polish. And I don’t want Polish, because I explicitly set English as my interface language. Could you fix that bug?
The EN sets the interface and the last bit the language studied.
It sounds like this is changing when you don’t want it to.
I have one tab open for each language. That means you wouldn’t be using Lingq to change language but you’d change tab. That might be a workaround rather than a true fix.
Ctrl &tab changes tab on many browsers.
