Whenever I highlight text on desktop, it never loads the translation the 1st time. I always have to rehighlight the phrase 2-3 times to get the desired result.
Is this user error? Im running it on safari generally, on a MacBook if that information helps at all. I’m assuming I should just be using chrome?
I’ve noticed similar issues. I felt the site was slower when this was happening and just assumed it was a side performance issue as it wasn’t consistent. When the site doesn’t seem as slow I haven’t seen that problem.
I haven’t experienced that in a while, but I have noticed that it has always been the case that LingQs create better on my iPad then on my desktop, regardless of whether I’m on Mac or Windows, Safari or IE.
And no, you shouldn’t “Just be using Chrome.” Software and sites should work on all browser, especially the major ones.
I agree, that is just what I am generally told when I am having issues on the desktop version of most applications. “consider using chrome.” I wonder if there is a significant difference on LingQ though. The app works fine though (on android at least).
Sorry to hear that. Does it happen when learning French with English set as dictionary language?
I have also encountered the same problem whilst reading French on my MacBook. Although, it seems to be working very well today!
