Help Please: Greek Fonts

I am trying to make the “scan text” importing feature to work with Greek. When I try this the text ends up with only roman letters. So I assume I need a Greek font to make this happen. And it needs to be on my phone I guess since I do this with an image from my phone’s camera.

The problem is I am dumb and don’t understand computers and phones well when it comes to this stuff.

Can someone please give me basic step by step instructions on how to get a font so my scans actually produce Greek text? Please explain it like you would a 10 year old kid.

Thanks!

I didn’t use that feature, and don’t know how it works in detail, but basically, tasks like that will be processed by end-to-end OCR software API, so if the OCR, which LingQ uses, doesn’t support Greek, you couldn’t scan Greek. Most professional OCR software can set the input text’s language. If the feature you use doesn’t support that, it will determine the language automatically. In your case, the software misunderstood the language of the text.

You can use OCR software to scan the text yourself, but it will require a lot of manual work, and in most cases it will cost.
