Here’s a small PDF you may be interested in. It is mostly autobiographical but documents this man’s journey through learning languages and the difficulties he found in trying to create the “perfect strategy”, all from trial and error, and the problems in trying to study a language. There is also a bit in their about the dangers of early speaking.
