I’m trying to find a Stever Kaufmann video I remember watching. Steve was talking to a female European (Lydia Machovla?) about a language study done (by computer) at a European University. The study showed that the most common sentences don’t consist entirely of high-frequency words. The study was done for several languages.
Steve referred to these results in today’s video, when he said “frequency declines so quickly” and talked about trying to memorize “low-frequency words”.
