Feature Request: Optional word segmentation (word spaces) for Thai script

Are you planning to introduce a ‘Show spaces between words’ toggle for Thai under Settings > Reader > Script Settings, just like the one you have with Japanese?

I would like to request this feature. Since standard Thai script doesn’t use spaces between words, having the option to toggle word boundaries on and off would be incredibly helpful for training Thai reading. Thanks!

@yeah_ok67 That’s not in the short-term plans and will unlikely happen soon. But we will try to get to it in the future.

After using Thai LingQ for almost a year, I’ve realized that a “Show spaces between words” toggle is not a nice-to-have — it’s a must-have.

Reason: Thai doesn’t use commas or clear separators between phrases, so relying on strict word-by-word segmentation actually makes complex sentences harder to read. It breaks natural phrasing and forces learners to reconstruct meaning piece by piece.

For example:
มาช้าเกิน 15 นาที อาจยกเลิกนะครับ → มา ช้า เกิน 15 นาที อาจ ยกเลิก นะ ครับ

This directly impacts reading fluency. A toggle (like the one in Japanese) would let learners switch between assisted word boundaries and natural sentence flow, which is essential for effective learning.

@yeah_ok67 Thanks for your feedback. I will forward to our team.
