[Feature request] More slower audio speeds available

Hi everyone!

It would be of a tremendous help, if more audio speed options were available, specially slower ones.

When starting to learn a new language, normal speaking speed is usually too fast, 0.9x is also too fast many times, but 0.75x is usually too slow in many cases.

When I listen to an audiobook in youtube, I higly appreciate the option to choose 0.8x or 0.85x speed, and I find that to be a great help! I wonder if other people feel the same.

Thank your for your attention!

Even if not in my priorities right now, I agree, this is a valuable request. In the past, I suggested copying the system Audible iOS has. They had the same request a few years ago, and I was among the ones that requested it. And they did the same modification, allowing users to have a few quick standard options but allowing them to fine-tune it.

Options like 0.9x, 0.8x, 0.7x or 1.1x, 1.2x, 1.3x and so on, are really useful. Because they allow the user to fine-tune the audio to their natural level. Podcasts and YT videos can have audio at different levels, by fine-tuning them, we can “reset” them to our speed. Either by going slower or faster.

Sometimes, just a simple 1.1x or 1.2x can have the right speed to avoid zoning out and stay focused.

Slow speed should be a shortcut so you can read using hardware shortcuts and not have to click multiple times in sentence view. No to adding all the words so easily too.

More increments in speeds overall would be great, there are some rather big jumps, especially from 1x to 1.25x. Also, a pop-out menu, like on iOS, is overdue for the web version, instead of cycling through all speeds every time.

+1 I agree (out of votes)

What about UP and DOWN buttons that apply small changes in playback speed? Like 0.05 or 0.1.

I would think this would be easier and friendlier than having to select values from a pull-down menu, or having only one button that increments only and then wraps around.
