Yup, If you are interested you can also do something similar in the LingQ Android app using the Keymapper app.
I use it to create 3 floating buttons to be at the bottom.
The advantages are

I can click easily with just one hand no need to use 2 hands.

I don’t have to keep moving my finger away to read text compared to LingQ play button which is right at the top, With the LingQ layout my finger would cover the text when I press the play button.

I also set it up to - page, play audio and reveal translate upon clicking on my “>” or “<” button, The “R” button is to replay the audio.

You can also set it up to use a bluetooth remote.

No need to swipe ! I just press the “>” or “<” button to page.
Actually even on the app the UI/UX of the edit sentence mode is far superior to the sentence mode. At least the play button is at the bottom, although it is misaligned off to the corner instead of centered. No one knows why. It feel like they just want us to use 2 hands.
