Extension: Rooster Lesson Editor -> Easy LingQ Lesson editing program

Sorry, my mistake again here. Was another variable that was set only for me.

Fixed with 1.615

ok it is working well now. I assume the lower res for the waveform when zoomed in is due to performance reason?

Something like that. Browsers are not very practical places to do things like this. There is a small annoyance with the red bar updating that i’m going to fix.

If LingQ ever got around to a desktop app… hmm…

I think the red bar is good to have for some visual feedback but I am ok if there is no red bar. Since most sentences are short.

Another idea, due to res of the waveform, sometime the in/out-point does not show where the audio gap/silent point is at , In the example below the out point is at a silent area but is not clear in the wave form.

So a solution, If it doesn’t affect performance, basically read the audio amplitude value at the in,out point and display a number somewhere. After this I can increase/decrease the in or out point timestamp until that number reads 0. Mockup below shows where the amplitude number could be, above the in and out line or they could be at a corner somewhere… or alternatively the in/out lines could become bold whenever it is at a silent 0 amplitude area.

Was unaware of this, could be a scaling issue.

seems straight forward, improved accuracy of that zoomed in mode is probably the real solution though.

Edit:
1.617
The bar should have higher resolution now for longer audios
added the amplitude to start/end

Thanks! This is working really well, very responsive and fun to use.

Now I am no longer pressing the up and down arrow to set the timestamp. I noticed the mouse scroll wheel works too. I just click on the timestamp box and use my scroll wheel while looking at the waveform to get the edit done super quick.

Some keyboard shortcuts that work too.
Tab — to jump forward between the sentences and time stamp
Shift-Tab — same as above but backward
up — (when you inside the timestamp box) to increase time stamp value
down — to decrease time stamp value.
When tab selection is on play button press enter to play.
