For the past four days LingQ has become painful to use. For long stretches throughout the day, word definitions completely fail to load except when with offline data is already stored. I’ve tried this on two separate devices and its the same issue. Is this a problem on LingQ’s end? The problem occurs when I use Wi-Fi and when I use phone data.
This problem has always been around, but for the past year or so it would only occur for maybe a few minutes once every few days and then return to normal. I’m writing this since I’ve never had it go on for days and days.
I’m so used to this I hardly notice, but the AI definitions for phrases are often a word or two short. I usually end up clicking on that definition and adding the words manually if there doesn’t exist a definition other than the AI one.
@zoran What is the status of this issue? The Android app is essentially useless as the definitions never load for unknown words. An update would be appreciated.
Just turn off the AI definitions, I find them worthless and they slow down the dialogue.
Bugs are fixed, then reappear, alongside new, exciting bugs. I think I know why, but I’ve had enough of complaining. It just is as it is. Fortunately they devote a lot of resources to advertising.
