The site is basically unusable for me right now, as I have to wait an.excessive amount of time for the full definition to load for every single unknown word.

Same here. Interesting that you’re using Russian - so am I and have the same issue. It’s taking nearly ~70 seconds to load a word, totally unusable.
@ej5 are you also learning Russian?

Same issues with me. I thought it was my old computer but the same happened on my iPhone. Portuguese and Spanish, same issues. It’s basically the whole site, so slow it’s barely usable.

Same for me from French to English. Single words take very long, phrase translation does not work at all
