If I’m watching a video lesson of 20 minutes or more then the lag in the web app becomes unbearable and is a real impediment to learning. I’m listening to pretty advanced content and need to concentrate. If I click on a blue word, sometimes it’ll take 20 or 30 seconds to respond to my clicks which completely takes me out of the content I’m listening to. It’s even worse as the lessons go longer. Does anyone have any tips to help sort this issue? I’m using a macbook M1 and Safari browser and the problem is only relatively new in the last few months. It’s just a youtube video and paging through the transcription, so I don’t know why it should be having such problems.
Edit just to say it also lags when paging, sometimes it lags so long that the video has gone past the entirety of the next page before it pages.
I too have been having this issue on a MacBook using Safari browser, exactly the same issues as the original poster. Audiobooks or videos longer than 15 or 20 minutes start lagging interminably about 10 minutes into listening to the lesson.
Hi Zoran, maybe four or five months ago. It’s been a consistent and persistent problem. It’s a fairly new MacBook, and restarting it does not fix the problem, so I assume it is on Lingq’s end, since any other program works just fine. But who knows? Maybe I am doing something wrong. The lag is exactly as described by the original poster.

My macbook is a few years old now, but it’s still an M1 which is pretty decent and it’s only a webapp so shouldn’t have many issues. I ended up moving on to google chrome which isn’t ideal for other functionality but the lagging drastically reduced. Maybe there’s a problem with safari compatibility, not sure. Hope you get it sorted soon @everetttouse
