the new definition box that allows you to write your own definition for a word is not working properly. Normally, Ill type something and hit enter and then you would see the word turn yellow. It must be it just wont let me hit enter.

What iOS version do you have on your device? Sounds like you are on an old version.

its iPadOS 17.5.1. I just reinstalled the app and it looks like its working. False alarm. thanks
