Curiosity with word counters

I have to admit I haven’t been very active lately, but i had an interesting thought.

I went to my vocabulary section for Russian, and I have 43k known words, and 75k LingQs created. But when i filter my LingQs by only those that were “Learned”, i only see 15k. So at least 75% of the LingQs i’ve made i’ve only seen once or twice and probably not really learned fully.

So, would it be good to clean these up every so often? Deleting lingqs you haven’t seen in a while and are at status=1? This way the unknown word counter would be a bit more realistic.

Thoughts?

In my opinion, it sounds like a waste of time to me. Your known word count at any given point will never be accurate. There’s always going to be some amount of words you marked known that you will have forgotten. Even ones that you’ve seen many times over and over again.

If you come across these again and you don’t remember them, simply move them back down to 1, 2, 3 or 4 (whatever you prefer).

Why waste time going through a list of words when you could be spending the time reading/listening/or reviewing these words and trying to learn them?

My bad, i thought you could mark them and edit them all at once
