When I upload a course cover, LingQ automatically crops the image, but there is no option to adjust the crop.
Important parts of the cover can be cut off, especially when the original image has different proportions from the thumbnail area. For example, my book cover said “YESTERYEAR”, but after uploading it, the thumbnail cropped the first part and displayed “TERYEAR”.
At the moment, the only workaround I found is to manually create a square version of the cover with the important content placed in the center, so that LingQ’s automatic cropping doesn’t cut off the title.
Could you add an option to reposition and zoom the image when uploading a thumbnail? This would give users control over which part of the cover is displayed.
