Continuous Bug - Popular meaning translations doesn't work

It has some days that I’ve had in trouble with the LingQ: after mark some text (with less than 9 words), the translation of popular meaning stays charging forever.

It’s important to say that this feature is the CORE of the LingQ, and need to be fixed quickly and definitely.

Follow, the image, with one example (the problem happens with different words and contexts):

Can you check under Settings > Reader and make sure that you have “Show contextual meaning” option enabled?

I did this, and sometimes, seems that is better after this change, but no. The issue remains and sometimes I need to include or exclude few words in my selection. Its boring and annoying this problem, and the Support and Development team must to do something about this.

I think the app sometimes loses connection to whatever server it’s connecting to. I’ve found that this infinite loading can often be fixed by disconnecting then reconnecting the device’s internet connection.

Yes, we can do this, but they need to fix it.

Thanks, we will investigate this further.

I experience the same, both on android and iOS. It came around the time when lynx was launched though I don’t think it has anything to do with that feature.

@zoran , did you have some news about this issue?

More that one month and it is remaining and causing problems in our studies. It is too slow the support for problems here, unfortunatelly.

@DJFill No updates here yet. I am unable to reproduce the problem on my end but I asked our team to look into this again.

Hi @DJFill Could you please specify what language do you study and what is your dictionary language (language for translations)? Thank you :hibiscus:

Hi. It is on the screen, by yes, I can do it.

The language that I am studying is English. My language for translations is Brazilian Portuguese.

The problem remains (at least, in the Sentence Screen, that sentence translation works)
