Hallo,
I was able to setup color of the background but comparing to previous complains I don’t have colored lingqs. The only way to see where are new words is to switch to sentence mode and see in the list of words the ones with + sign.
I hope this is not an intended change, just a temporary bug.

If you go to profile > settings > reader and mess with the “highlight style” options you get the color of the LingQs to appear or disappear. But yeah, it seems this update was quite a mess.
Edit: Some LingQs do seem to lack any color regardless of the how the options are set.
Once again it just shows that they keep adding features without properly testing them before. You’d think they would try the various colour combinations before releasing them.
