Childcare worker and babysitter

Is there any difference between childcare worker and babysitter?

Thank you!!!

A childcare worker is taking care of children, probably a group of kids, as a profession. In other words, it’s the person’s job. The person might work at a daycare center or nursery school for example. There are probably organized activities for the children and maybe some teaching involved. A babysitter could possibly just be the neighbor’s teenage daughter or son, you pay them to watch your child because you decided to have a date night with your spouse (go out to see a movie for example). A babysitter might play with the kids or read to them, but their primary responsibility is really just to make sure the kids don’t hurt themselves or get into trouble. Being a babysitter is less formal and doesn’t require any training or license.
