Changing TTS voice does not change the voice in web view

As the title says.

Mobile app respects the selected TTS voice. When you click a word either on Reader or on Vocabulary then you hear the word with the correct voice.

But the website doesn’t respect the selected voice. For Dutch, I’m not able to use the website for vocabulary anymore due to default voice being absolutely terrible and pronouncing the words completely wrong.

Thanks, we will look into this.

My Voice recently went to a Polish Male Voice and I just decided to change it to female a few minutes ago and it still remains with a Polish Male voice. Not a showstopper, but adding for situational awareness on your end. Even shutdown my laptop and restarted it after selecting female voice, no change.

@Bstodnick Strange. Do you still have female voice selected now and male voice for TTS pronunciation?

Some details:

  • Changing the voice works on mobile (same as the OP’s case).
  • Changing voice to non-premium works.

So, I can’t use premium voices I paid for. This is really not ok. Having better voice is one of the main reasons I paid for premium.

Is there proper customer support I could contact about this?

Adding @LingQ_Support for visibility.

I have the same problem. I paid for premium, and selected the male premium voice. But I still get the free female voice.

This is clearly a bug. Do you have a timeline to fix this?
