Hello, I’m not sure where to post this question, so I will post it here. There are quite a few errors in the Cantonese mini-stories. Every story I’ve read has transcription mistakes. Here are a few:
- “來自 loi4 zi6” should be “嚟自 lei4/lai4 zi6” in all stories. 來自 is the written form and doesn’t represent what the speaker is actually saying.
- Lesson 1c: The phrase “佢嘅車 keoi5 ge3 ce1” is used when it should be “佢架車 keoi5 gaa3 ce1”
- Lesson 2: many questions have the sentence final particle “啦 laa1/laa3”, which is incorrect. The correct particle is “呀/啊 aa3”
There are certainly plenty more, but let’s address these first.
I reported some of these via the “Lesson Info” interface, but it doesn’t seem the intended way to do this sort of thing, so I decided to post my feedback here. Let me know if there’s a better way to report.
