Hi,
I’m used to copy-paste some phrases from the lesson text, mainly when I’m going to ask something and therefore I want to provide some context to my question. But when I try to do this now, the selected text gets blue, a pop-up appears, but I can’t use ctrl+c to get it to my clipboard…
Is there any other way to copy-paste?
Thanks
Looking at the source code, I can say: not really in the near future. This is how pop-up are implemented. I’m with you; it’s very annoying, but there’s nothing we can do about it.
For the time being, you can use the Print Lesson button. This formats the page in the way you can copy text from. You’ll lose all the other LingQ options, however.
We are going to fix it so that you can copy-paste, hopefully, by the end of the week. Until then, you can use the print view as astamoore says.
Oh, this is going to be awesome if you can fix it so soon!
Thank you very much for a useful informaition, Mark and astamoore. I will do it, too.
PS- Check spelling does not work now.
Actually, we CAN copy-paste, but it’s a bit tricky : select the text you wanna copy, but keep your finger the button and do ctrl+c (or cmd+c for mac user).
Enjoy!
Great tip, Sigma!!
About the corrrection… I guess it would be an extra enhancement if selected text would automatically go to the clipboard area…
Hi Mark, Has this issue been fixed? I am using firefox since the issue with importing with IE.

Oops! I don’t know what happened there but I only meant to post once!
Hi jbudding,
The importing issue with IE has been fixed but the copy-paste issue from the text is not enabled and likely will not be. It is just not compatible with the pop-ups. You can try copy-pasting the way sigma20xx suggests above or go to the Print view. We may find a solution in the future but for now you will have to rely on one of these other methods.
Thanks Mark and Thanks Sigma20xx for the tip. I tried it and it works on firefox.
