Can I speak to AI Chatbot Lynx?

As I understand it, I should be able to speak with the AI chatbot Lynx. However, I only get a field to type in, and don’t see how I could get Lynx to accept audio input. I am on Android, current version, LingQ also current version, with permission to use the microphone.

I only have the Standard, not Plus or Tutor modes of Lynx AI.

I have found a way to speak with it, although I don’t know if this is the intended usage…on Android keyboard there is (maybe dependent on a setting?) a microphone symbol. I am studying Russian, so I switch to the Russian keyboard, press the microphone key and my speech is interpreted to Russian text into the Lynx AI entry field.
This method doesn’t support natural conversations as much as, say, ChatGPT Advanced Voice, but I find it quite useful.

Me too. I use it the same way! It’s very useful to me!

@Rennenkampff As a Premium user you have access to Standard Lynx chat only. Advanced chat and voice are available with Plus plan.

@andrew103 and @joseeduof, thank you, I will try that!

@zoran, could you please explain what precisely is meant by “Standard Lynx chat”, by “advanced chat” and by “voice”? I was not able to find this information on the lingq website. Also, if it is an issue of me having “only” a premium subscription: Why is voice input available in the web interface on desktop?

Lynx AI has the 3 modes shown in this image. My subscription only includes access to Standard mode, so I don’t have experience of what the others are like.

@andrew103 In Standard mode, you get a conversational AI chatbot, and yes, you can submit a message via voice.
However, in Plus and Tutor mode (available for Plus subscribers) you get an enhanced AI engine (more advanced chat) + voice too.

Can you make a video to show us how this AI chat functionality works?
