Bump --?

I have just read an E-article called “9 secrets of motivated people” … And I came across a sentence which i don’t understand the meaning of the word “bump” … plz help me :
" When you made a plan , anticipate bumps " ( I guess it means “accident” , doesn’t it ??)

Anticipate bumps = Don’t expect everything in your plan to go smoothly. There will be bumps along the way, difficult times, things you can’t control. It won’t all be easy to accomplish.

Oh , thank you so much … Happy New Year to you and to me  … I Love LingQ
