Hi Everyone,
You should have gotten a notification from Testflight for the updated version of the Beta app. This version should be feature complete so please start using it again if you aren’t using it now.
All features should now be implemented and most obvious bugs fixed. There still remains some messaging type functionality to implement but not much remains undone.
We are hoping you all will start using it this week before we expand our beta user group sometime next week.

Some comments.
- Lingq colors for dark mode. Did you try changing these to perhaps to non transparent/translucent(?) colors? Or maybe another color scheme all together (not ideal if not both versions use the same).
- Import functionality is not working for me. It does zooms in but instead of showing the lingq extension just zooms out.
Dropbox - File Deleted - Simplify your life - Had a bug where the setting button wasn’t doing anything, same thing with the search filter button in vocab section and the change language button. Can’t reliably reproduce it though… They don’t stop working all at the same time.
- When pressing on a lessons option menu and then dismissing it by pressing outside of the pop-up (eg on a lesson) it tries to open that lesson but fails. Shouldn’t the first click close the pop-up and then you can click on something in that view.
Dropbox - File Deleted - Simplify your life - Does the app auto download lessons to the phone? It looks like a button but doesn’t appear to be one.
- Nitpicking: if there is no audio on the course the lesson perhaps the play audio button should be grayed out or a pop-up should be displayed on press saying No audio or something. Just my opinion…
- Progress bar on lessons in course overview page is not syncing correctly at least for one course I checked. Tried restarting. Old app and web shows correct.
- Nitpicking+: The header in the last tab (bottom right corner). The header is smaller or the button is not in the same position as the other tabs…
- Not possible to un-heart lessons?

- Like the previous app, any lessons you open get downloaded. That new control lets you manually download lessons without having to open them. Looks to not be working properly

Love the beta, but I’ve got two issues with it which are preventing me from using it as my daily driver when I get back to studying Chinese:
- You cannot copy text on iOS. Pressing and holding text, or double tapping and dragging to copy, both don’t work. It just results in the word info card coming up.
- If you have pinyin turned off for the reading text, you cannot see the pinyin of a character when viewing its info card. This is unexpected behaviour; the pinyin should always be in the card, or there should be a second option to keep pinyin enabled for the card despite being disabled in text.

@Edwin - Thanks! Yes, the copy function is no longer possible with the new phrase selection functionality but we feel the improvement is worth it since copying text is not something most users do, or, at least, not something we think most users need to do. Why do you need to copy text?
As for enabling transliteration to be controlled separately in the text and widget, that is something we will look into adding back.
