Thanks, the Android app looks awesome!

Is there a way to get a temporary MasterLingQ license key to try it out (similar to a trial)? Also, how do you purchase the Rooster MasterLingQ extension?

Dang this this actually looks intuitive. Well done. Will test later today. Thanks for your contributions as always. I admire how you’ve gotten to the point of developing language master, My main feedback/request for LM is improve on the UI of the website and add a simple “Install Language Master” link and done. The tools you output obviously work very well from what I’ve seen in your videos but setting stuff up has never been easy for me for the LingQ tools. With that said I know much of the issues have been with trying to make the tools work with LingQ and making your own platform removes issues there. But for your own tools this should be way more intuitive. The homepage for LM looks like a ton of Linux Terminal screenshots when you first open it (scary for simpletons like me) and every page is giant walls of text (especially the Getting Started Guide) so it naturally makes me run away lol. Incredible documentation, no doubt, but I would at least make the homepage and initial parts of some other page more easy on the eyes for people (like me) who just need to “See Spot .. See Spot Run” and be like WOW LOOK AT THAT. Make the installation of everything so simple a newly born baby could do it. I can’t figure out how to even install LM, the homepage is all screenshots and I get lost in the sub pages of how to use any of it. Again, I’m not a programmer used to looking at documentation so I’m just speaking as someone who is used to this flow: Open Website –> See Tool Video + Login and/or Click Install –> Paywall –> Use tool –> Done –> Me Happy/Me Good Boy.

And then after the simple landing page for dummies like me is done, then the detailed stuff is excellent to go back to and comb through. Anyway, just my 2 cents from a fan who would like to use more of your work but needs a simpler pipeline to use it.

Thanks very much for the detailed response Stewart.

Your feedback is the most common one I get, but its never something I’ve really wrapped my head around. I think my issue is more relatability to this audience, the struggle to see the issues through the eyes of a less technical person or even their willingness to overcome such hurdles.

The ability to develop this LingQ app in a few days via coding agents has given me the drive to completely rewrite the entire frontend (what you see) of the LanguageMaster platform. (Supercharge/Reader/Lessons/Vocabulary) Distributed for iOS/Android/Mobile Web and Desktop Web. Basically a version of this LingQ app, but on crack and with substantially more work than a 5 day investment. Rooster Video Tools (Extension) will likely get the same treatment when the time is right.

Can send me a DM on discord or email for responses. I’ll be head down for a little while.

Cheers

Looking very solid. Appreciate the response and open ears. Will be following closely  Keep up the goodwork, can’t imagine what you’ll be able to output with coding agents as your speed is already very high.

LingQPlayer Demo (Web/Android) - 03/07/2026

  • I noticed that Chinese variant translations were throwing errors due to a missmatch between zh & zh-t studied codes and zh-cn/zh-tw dictionary locales. Updated the demo to 1.0.5 to allow Chinese users to use the app properly.
