Im really surprised to see the thai language not on here yet, especially with the increase in demand for it. Any word on when it will be coming out? or if it is even still coming out.

We are still waiting for progress from volunteers in translating + recording the Mini Stories. I’m afraid we don’t have a release date for the language at the moment.

Agreed. I’m relocating to Bangkok soon and I’ve successfully learned French, Italian and Japanese using LingQ without the mini stories. If Thai version can be launched, I’ll be very thrilled!
They’ve been giving assurances like this for years and years, and nothing ever happens. It’s really disappointing. I moved to Chiang Mai in summer 2022, have been waiting and waiting, and still nothing. How hard can it be to find someone to record the mini stories? There are tens of millions of Thai people lol. If they can’t find any volunteers they should pay someone to do it. We all pay into LingQ. I’d consider raising money to pay someone to do it but why should we pay for someone to make content for LingQ when we already pay for a subscription for LingQ? In January I said enough is enough and started learning Thai through other means, Pimsleur and some study books. I just don’t trust these people anymore to actually deliver. We don’t even need the mini-stories, just the beta would be amazing, and still they don’t lift a finger. My guess is it’s not really to do with mini-stories, it’s probably to do with the writing system, but they’d rather keep stringing us along then own that and be transparent. Just massively disappointing.
