Android version 5.5.56 (484) is broken without playstore

Hi all

Using lingq for four months and enjoy it.

Use it primarily on android 14 - lineageos without google playstore installed.

Update 484 pushed to playstore 8/6/24 breaks app.

App quits immediately after starting with error that playstore is not installed.

Would request that future updates work without playstore (like before in version 482).

Thanks, I’ll forward this to our android developers.

I’m on GrapheneOS and affected by the same issue. Using the websit on the phone works as a stop gap solution, but if the app could be restored I’d greatly appreciate it

We will have it restored. Thanks for reporting this.

Just to make sure I mention this explicitly, in case interested.

Using aurora store - you can downgrade the lingq app to version 5.5.54 (482)

This is still better then using the website on phones - especially when watching videos.

Update: new version 486 does not fix this issue. Android app is still broken without playstore.
