Android Landscape mode

Hi every one. Is there a way to Disable this section in landscape mode? (I’m using Galaxy S9 plus)

Sorry, but it’s not possible to disable it at the moment.

I would also like to disable it and enable a two-column view instead.

But I have a more serious problem to report: in landscape mode, for some reason some words do not display a pop-up, neither on the right-hand side, nor over the text! This is in, AFAIK, the latest Android release (although I haven’t previously owned a tablet wide enough to display this, so it may be a longstanding issue).

Is something going wrong on my side? Or is this a bug?

@fabbol It’s a bug and we will have it fixed in the next update.

Seems fixed now, thank you!

Update, this issue is absolutely not resolved on my end. It still persists.

@kadirkaratas Are you on the app version 6.0.6?

Yes i am on that version indeed.

@kadirkaratas Thanks. I’ll check with our developers. We should have it fixed in the next app update.

I noticed that sometimes, the app opens a full-screen popup instead of displaying the selected word in the sidebar. From what little I’ve experimented with, this seems to occur sometimes after switching from portrait to landscape mode after the lesson is already opened. Opening the lesson with the device already in landscape hasn’t produced the same issue (so far).

Also, it would still be appreciated if we could choose a two-column view with regular pop-ups, instead – preferably as a toggle-able option.

@fabbol Thanks, I’ll check what can be done.

I realize this is over a year old, but did this issue ever get resolved? I also find this to be a bad design, and yet I have not found a fix for it.

@ChocolateTuna Sorry, but no, no changes has been made regarding this so far.

Far be it from me to argue with you, but hasn’t the main issue here been resolved? The sidebar is toggleable now, isn’t it?
