Trump’s budget makes perfect sense and will fix America, and I will tell you why http://wapo.st/2mOsgGW?tid=ss_tw
“All schoolchildren will be taught by an F-35 wearing a Make America Great Again hat. They will also have new school choice options including the choice not to afford any school at all, because at school you are taught things like grammar and pronouns and spelling and history, and these are all potentially inimical to the future we are trying to build. We will also be cutting Meals on Wheels, as well as after-school programs to feed children, because they are not improving performance as we would like. Feed children just to feed them? What are we, SOFT? No. No we are not.”
“Environmental Protection Agency: We absolutely do not need this. Clean rivers and breathable air are making us SOFT and letting the Chinese and the Russians get the jump on us. We must go back to the America that was great, when the air was full of coal and danger and the way you could tell if the air was breathable was by carrying a canary around with you at all times, perched on your leathery, coal-dust-covered finger. Furthermore, we will cut funding to Superfund cleanup in the EPA because the only thing manlier than clean water is DIRTY water.”
Only a heartless meanie would defund ‘Meals on Wheels.’
“The mission of Prescott Meals On Wheels (PMOW) is to provide services that enable older people to maintain independent living with safety and dignity. Our primary mission is to provide one hot nourishing meal per day, both in a congregate setting and to our home-bound clients.”

I usually post my comments at Open Forum in English, while Iaing tends to use Open Forum, which most of us usually use to talk about language learning. The following threads started recently by Iaing are all found at Open Forum.

I can’t argue against the idea that the Washington Post is biased. Of course it is. But seriously, do you actually get information from Trump’s website? I guess I should not be surprised given that you seem to believe things based purely on the fact that Trump claimed it in a tweet.
How is getting information from Trump’s website any different than getting it from a journalist with an agenda?
Wow, Yukata vs. Iaing !! gets popcorn
Most of the people living in a democracy can estimate the validity of each argument, if they have enough resources to do so. The existence of investigative journalists in the U.S. is an indispensable part of American democracy. Many of them do not stand by unsubstantiated claims. If they are wrong, they usually correct their news articles. The real-estate-agent-turned-president has told plenty of lies. He stands by unsubstantiated claims. I think this is the difference.
I don’t think you read what I wrote. Give it another shot.
Same here. I think my kernels are GMO (shoot!) oh well
“Delete” is too near to “Edit”. I accidentally deleted my post.
Responding to Iaing’s “pro-Trump” comments helps me practice writing in my “target” language, English. Incidentally, I welcome any comments about my English. Don’t eat too much popcorn.

I should be grateful if you would be more specific. Do you think that news articles in The Washington Post have a “hidden” agenda? Or don’t you like reading “satirical” articles?
“How is getting information from Trump’s website any different than getting it from a journalist with an agenda?”
Well, journalists are not fully reliable sources of information. For sure they have agendas. In many cases, those agendas are political. In most cases, they are just to have as successful a career as possible (which often leas to significantly worse biases than if their agendas were political). Still, Trump has already proven himself to be essentially a pathological liar who will say anything he wants, even when it is blatantly untrue and completely ridiculous, and will refuse to admit when he has said something false.
Of course, I don’t actually know how much control Trump has over his website. I am sure he is not personally writing this stuff himself.
So it’s not any different. Both lie.
