I imported Audioo file 66 Mb, 1 hour 49 minutes long. But transcription was made only for the first 33 Minutes.
I did it twice with the same file. The first time 2 weeks ago, second time today with the same result. Audio plays, but no transcription after 33s minute
Lessons are limited to 6000 words. You will need to split the audio file.
So why is it possible to import 2 hrs long audio? Why should it be usefull?
And earlier I imported 1 hour long audio and recieved full transcription.
Sound wierd
@lexaznaurov The limit for audio file is set to 200MB, however, lesson word count limit is 6000. It depends on the audio file, not all audio files with same duration has the same number of words in it.
@zoran when did the audio file limit become 100mb? I feel like early 2024 it was only 30mb. Because i had a heck of a time uploading anything that was more than 20 mins due to the sizes. If its up to 100mb now this is great news.
@ElDorBrado Sorry, I mistyped it, the limit now is 200 MB. The limit was actually 60 MB until recently and approximately a month ago it’s been increased to 200 MB.
6000 limit, its great news. btw is it possible to check the number of word of lesson from browser? i can find “lesson info” from ipad lingq, but icant find on web lingq.
You should open the lesson
Open the lesson and open the „three-dots“ menu. There is lesson info
wow i didnt know this! finally i can check the word number from web! thanks a lot!
FWIW last week I imported a bunch of podcast stuff and all of them only had transcript for approx the first half hour. The total word count was under 2,000 for all of them so that should have worked.
I’ve currently deleted and am re- importing a few of last weeks files, will see what comes of it now.
@BoludaOfTheNorth Thanks. Let me know how it goes and let me know what sources you were importing from.
I am having the same issue, the transcription cuts off several minutes of video. May I please when the 6000 word limit came into effect? Not so long ago I was able to import videos with very long texts. Is there a workaround, apart from having to split videos? How can I know prior to importing if the video will contain more than 6000 words? Thanks
The 6000 words limit always existed. We actually used to have a limit of 4000 words before, but we increased it to 6000. If you are importing texts longer than that, it will be split automatically in parts.
I have the same issue here. I know there was always a limit of 6,000 words when importing articles, and those exceeding would be divided into different parts. But there was no such restriction when importing YouTube video before. I have successfully imported more then twenty or thirty thousand words in one text(video) many times in the past.
Thank you so much for your help ~~
Thanks, I’ll check that with our team.
@berilo1 If you are importing texts longer than 6000 words, does it not split into parts and import the complete text?
if you import audio for transkription, Wisper AI transcribes only 6000 Words and that’s all. No splitting into parts. So it’s not understandable why length of available audio is 2 hrs. 60 minutes of audio usually contains 6000 of words, if this is podcast, for example. sometimes less then 60 minutes, as in my audio that was only 33 minutes
Thanks, we will look into this.
