In the advanced settings of the import page, I entered the URL of a Youtube video whose audio I wanted to include in the lesson. When I saved everything and went to the lesson, the flash player didn’t play the audio, and the download audio button took me to the Youtube page. This is the first time I have tried to do this. Is this the way it should work?
The flashplayer will not play video files. It only plays mp3 files. It would be nice to have a place to put video urls but for now you will have to record the audio of the video as an mp3 and then upload that file.
Instead of recording the audio yourself, you can try extracting the audio from the Youtube video.
First, download the video to your computer. One of the simplest ways of doing this is to use the site keepvid:
Once you’ve downloaded the video to your computer, you can strip the audio from the file. One of the easiest ways of doing this is to use the freeware program FLV extract:
Oh I just use downloadhelper FF add-on. It does everything in one step.
