Adding a LingQ forces the appearance of a second meaning for the word

For the past few days only, something has changed on the app.

Whenever I am reading through a text and want to add a LingQ (by hitting the ‘+’ symbol as usual), suddenly, in the process of adding the new word to my list of LingQs, the app will force an additional meaning of that word to the original translation.

I’m probably not explaining this very well, but in the past, if you add a LingQ, you would get one single translation assigned to the new LingQ. If you wanted to add more, you’d need to drag down the dialogue box and manually add the extra ones you want.

But now the app is automatically adding a second translation, often one I don’t want, so for almost every single word I have to first add the LingQ, then go in and delete the second (unwanted) translation. It’s slowing me down badly and causing frustration. Why has it suddenly started happening? And how to switch this off?

Thank you.

This behaviour also occurs on the web version when you use the arrow keys to select a tag.

This is a bug and it would be nice if these issues were fixed once and for all.
