You can buy a 6 month Basic Membership by clicking on the Buy Now button on the Account page where it lists 6-month Memberships. You can pay through your PayPal account using a credit card, debit card or your bank account, depending on which country you live in. Paypal offers many different payment options.
I do recommend you create your PayPal account first and then try and buy the 6 month membership after it’s created. I think this will give you more payment options in PayPal.
