ABBYY Lingvo vocabulary doesn't work in old way

I noticed that link to Lingvo vocabulary doesn’t provide fast translation reference pages anymore.
When I click on Lingvo vocabulary, it doesn’t bring me a page with the word translation. Instead, I’m getting some sort of “Welcome Page” and must choose a source language, copy-paste the unknown word, press “translate” button, etc

It is very slow and inconvenient way. Any chances to repair old good&fast Lingvo?

It seems Lingvo reorganized their site this week…

Hi Niksa and Cakypa,

I have fixed that now. They changed their site which broke the setup.

Thank you. Can this be fixed for Google Translate as well? The language doesn’t change automatically and the word or phrase has to be copied and pasted into the text space.

Hi Reinhard,

Try it now. It should be fixed. What’s with all these sites changing their interfaces? Don’t they know we’re tied in with them…?

They conspired against LingQ!

I have the same problem as Niksa 2 month ago. The translation with Lingvo does not provide a direct translation. I have to cut and paste, which is slow. What can I do?

Hi Sirob11, I’m not sure what you mean. The Lingvo dictionary seems to work fine for me. If you are hoping that the translation will automatically be inserted into your Hint field from the dictionary, that is not going to happen. You do have to cut and paste from all dictionaries into your Hint field. The only instant or automatic hints are the ones you can click on in the blue hint dropdown directly.

Hi Mark
No, I just would like to use Lingvo in the same way as Google Translate. As soon as I click the blue field it opens a Lingq window and a second window showing the page of your chosen dictionary. In this second window the “unknown” word is automatically inserted and the translation is ready to drag into the Lingq window. In my case that works with Google Translate but not with Lingvo, why?. And I prefer Lingvo… I hope you understand…

What language combination are you trying? Lingvo works that way for me when I try English-Russian.

Russian - German

The problem I have with the dictionaries is really annoying. Only Google Translate works normally, but with the other dictionaries (Lingvo, Pauker.at) I have to cut and paste. I guess the problem is on my computer. Nevertheless if somebody knows how to fix it I would appreciate very much. I really do not like Google Translate because it provides very strange translation from Russian to German. For instance I wanted to have the following sentence translated: Бабушка Фая очень весёлая. And the result is: Grandma Faia is homosexual!(?)

Can you send me a screenshot of what you see? Lingvo works fine for me.
