A short test on ancient languages

The BBC has a little test on how much we know of lesser known languages (7 questions). To my shame I only got 6/7. I hope you’ll do better!

I had 5 of 7 but I admit that I often had no idea. It seems I made good guesses

I also had 5 of 7, but several were pure guesses.

Ooops, I forgot to mention that mine were good guesses mostly as well!

Imyirtseshem, I didn’t know you knew those two Celtic languages! I guessed and got one right and one wrong, which is, of course, a perfect average for two guesses.

[removed a paragraph about the Mel Gibson film, having thought better of beginning a discussion of it, especially as I have not sat through it.]

The Cornish one was easy because only one of the answers had a question mark (process of elimination). :stuck_out_tongue:

I got 5/7, including two or three guesses.

The three I guessed at were: the Passion of the Christ question, and the two Celtic language questions, getting the first Celtic question right. I’m still finding it hard to believe that there was no Greek in the Passion movie.
