A character in a house?

Hello,
what’s the meaning of character in this sentence: "an old house probably, you know, 80-90-100 years old that has a lot of character. "
I was thinking about something like “personality”, is it right?

Yes, you are right. Character, in this case, means that the house has “an individual quality or trait of its own, like its own personality”. The reason why is because an old house usually has had many owners, each adding their own special style to the house making it unique. Hope that helps!

Yes, sure, it does help.
Thanks
