3 Slavonic languages

Would you like to compare 3 Slavonic languages: Russian, Ukrainian and Belorussian?

I’ve found in You Tube this interesting video about them:

Hello evgueny, I am an American trying to learn russian.
Do you have any advice to the process, particularly in how much I practice a day and how I can get better at speaking?

Though I’m not Evgueny =) But the more time you spend each day, the better you Russian will be. To understand this better read the second chapter of “Outliers” by Malcolm Gladwell, and you will decide yourself how much you should practice daily. For example, I usually spend 2 hours a day and when I’m busy I spend only 30 minutes.

Hi ghost5!
My advice is simple: try to learn Russian every day. The time depends on you possibilities, but even 20 minutes a day is much better than 4 hours once a week.
And don’t hurry, especially if you are at the levels Beginner or Low Intermediate. Try better to listen several times to the lessons which are not too difficut for you otherwise yoy can lose the interest to your target lesson. Try to get accustomed to the Russian structures and obtain at least 600-800 new Russian words.
You can use a lot of my Russian lessons for different levels here in the Russian library.
For example, for the beginners:НАЧНЁМ- Let’s go(16 lessons with the English explanation), РУССКИЙ С НУЛЯ-Russian from zero(78 lessons), ВОПРОСЫ И ОТВЕТЫ-Questions and answers(16, with the English translation), ПЕРВЫЕ ШАГИ(125), БАЗОВЫЕ МОДЕЛИ(47) ETC.
For Beginners 2 & Low Intermediate: НАЧИНАЕМ ГОВОРИТЬ ПО-РУССКИ(44 текста), ПРОСТЫE ТЕКСТЫ(36), ПОЛЕЗНЫЕ ДИАЛОГИ(27), ТЕЛЕФОННЫЕ РАЗГОВОРЫ(27), АНЕКДОТЫ И ШУТКИ(335) etc.
Good luck!

Andrey, evgueny, thank you very much for your suggestion’s.
I see you both are Native Russian- my respect to you both.
One day, I’m betting, my russian will be there, too.

Until then,

До свидания, друзъя!!

My advice is more listening and reading out loud. I find listening to the word allows me to say more freely because I’m not struggling to decipher the pronunciation (because I already know the sound of word from memory after listening to it a lot), because my only focus is just working my mouth and facial muscles. :stuck_out_tongue:
