Never before in the modern era has the largest economy in the world been that of a developing country, rather than a developed country.
主语是the largest economy
谓语 that (=economy)
也许可以把那个句子改为 the largest economy in the world has been that of a developing country, rather than a developed country.
'Never before in the modern era has the largest economy in the world been that of a developing country, rather than a developed country.
Never before…
in the modern era…
has the largest economy in the world…
been that of a developing country,
rather than a developed country.
Never before had I seen such detailed answers on questionnaires.
Never before had so great a host of Oni-bi appeared in the sight of mortal man…
Never before has an important, publicly announced policy made by a prime minister been taken back to the drawing board.
你需要"never before" the largest economy in the world has never before been that of a developing country, rather than a developed country.
“Only when” bla bla, + verb subject
“Hardly” + verb subject
