I am trying to import a lesson in German. I clicked the import extension, chose a course to add the new content to, and clicked import, but I keep getting error messages. Has anyone else had this problem? Any ideas on how to do it properly?
I have the same problem.
Perhaps it wasn’t alowed to copy and past?
Do you have there a written text and a audio? For the import, you need both.
Sorry there is currently and issue that affects the importing function. We are working on it and we hope to have it fixed soon. Thanks for your patience!
I’ve had the problem for 3 weeks (from when I started lingq) and support hasn’t replied.
Based on the error it seems that youtube-dl only has to be updated.
Is the issue more complex than that because you could easily integrate some bash script to run youtube-dl -U
if that’s the case.
Hi @BlackJoe23,
I am sorry to hear that, but I can’t find any email received from you. Are you still having the same issue? Can you import properly from YouTube?
I tend to import lyrics from websites instead knowadays. The first one (a random video) imported right away: Tokyo Music City [Japanese Subtitle in CC] - YouTube
but with MONDO GROSSO / ラビリンス - YouTube and 星野源 – 恋 (Official Video) - YouTube
I get this error. What might have caused it with the third one: I deleted the lesson to see if I could decrease my lesson limit that way. When I tried to import it again I started noticing these errors on pretty much every music video I tried to import (there’s only a few since most lack japanese subtitles)
EDIT: I remove the first video as a lesson and added it again.
I also tried to locally download 2nd en 3rd video with youtube-dl and I had no issues with that.
I also had the same issue when I used the lingq import extension on firefox my main browser is chrome.
