YouTube import no longer available

I can no longer import from YouTube. The LingQ icon is not listed when I click on the share button. Without import, I have no use for LingQ.

The web extension version seems to work normally. How about using that until the problem is fixed?

Thanks. I’d forgotten the app has an import feature too.

Okay, I’ve tried it, and importing multiple videos from one YouTube channel is a nightmare. It’s better to just use YouTube directly. :frowning:

I agree
I have also been spending a lot of time importing videos.

I see lot of complaints on YouTube imports. But I have imported many videos without any problems. I’m using the browser (Firefox) import extension. But all these videos have had subtitles, which I understand is a good thing.

And about importing many videos, I don’t have problems with that. But I only import lessons one by one. Doing a lesson and listening to it a couple of times, and then import another video. I never import several videos in one occasion.

I should add that I use an iPad, with the latest iOS.

I too use the iPad and the LingQ extension is gone which is a huge blow. Has it been picked up by support to look into? If not it may be worthwhile emailing them direct. I’m sure Zoran will see this shortly as well and run a fix for us :crossed_fingers:

I have the same problem - unable to import YouTube videos using iOS app on iphone. This is the third day with still no functionality.

The LingQ extension should be available under the share option. If you don’t see it, please go to LingQ app > More button at the bottom right and re-enable the extension at the bottom of the More page.

This is what I see when I press the more button:

@LeifGoodwin Based on your first screenshot in this thread, when you tap share and get to that popup, just click more, and find the LingQ app to reenable it.

@LeifGoodwin The issue might have been fixed now, if you want to give it another go? I had the same problem as you: import via the Youtube iso app was working fine last week. Then about 3 days ago Lingq suddenly disappeared from the ‘share’ options (even after tapping on ‘more’). Shortly after, I noticed the Lingq app updated to the new blue/green icon, so I figured this might be an app update bug. Anyway, went back to the Youtube app today and Lingq is back under ‘share’. Don’t know why it disappeared and came back, but I’m glad it seems to have sorted itself out.

Sorry but that made no sense. There was no LingQ app after clicking more.

However, YouTube has mysteriously regained the LingQ share feature. I do wonder if this was a YouTube glitch, as other apps also temporarily disappeared from the sharing feature.

Same here. All back to normal now.
