Youtube import fail with error Error: No appropriate captions found

If I use firefox, I will met the error straightawya when clicking on the Lingq extension even without the view to choose the language from

When did the error message change from no subtitles found to just error? Did it happen after switch from 2.3.29 to 2.3.30 version?

The no subtitles error is on Chrome after clicking on import. The just error came from firefox after click on the extension icon at the browser tool bar. Both are at the latest extension version.

After changing the extension permission in firefox, I’m having the ā€œno subtitlesā€ error in firefox and chrome after clicking on import now.

Any updates? Can you reproduce the error from your side?

@LinVega Unfortunately, still no luck. We also haven’t received any additional complaints on the same issue. Do you see the same error with any video you try?

Any updates on this issue? I’m still facing the same error.

@LinVega Unfortunately, nothing yet. We haven’t received any similar complain lately and we’re not sure what could be affecting your account. Can you try importing through app and let me know what happens?

I used to get that error when I had the permissions set to only when clicked on Firefox, it didn’t work. I had to always allow it permission to youtube.com.

I am getting this error for all languages on Youtube. Closed Chrome, uninstalled/reinstalled the Lingq plugin, turned VPN on/off rebooted. Happening over four hours today.

@maderosier Can you let me know what browser extension version you are using and what Chrome version? Also, please post video URL. Thanks!

@LinVega Can you send that video URL?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tx0nLCUGILg I have a youtube list of more than 1300 video and although I haven’t tested them one by one, the same ā€œNo appropriate caption foundā€œ is throwed.
