Hello. I enjoy submitting corrections on the English language writing exchange board. I would imagine that it is one of the more high-volume writing exchange pages.
Sometimes the page is inundated with people spamming dozens of short sentences at once or an entire essay broken up into pieces. I get the impression that some people are trying to use the writing exchange as a free translation service as opposed to actually using the feedback to improve their English. At the very least, these kinds of posts end up burying all of the others.
Today, for example, I suspect that one person has used multiple accounts to flood the page with 50 requests in the space of an hour.
Am I justified in being irritated by this? Can LingQ’s writing exchange feature be abused and are there any features mitigating it?
If LingQ’s userbase is to grow in the future, I think that such features will be necessary.
