In Japanese, the word “こんばんは” only highlights the “は”, and the rest won’t highlight. I think I’ve seen this a few times, is there any way to make it work?
This can happen especially with words that are normally written in Kanji. To LingQ the whole word simply highlight all the characters with your cursor and the whole word will then turn blue and be LingQable.
For some reason this word won’t highlight no matter what I try, when I highlight the whole word only the “は” turns blue.
I just typed it into a Japanese lesson and the algorithm recognized “こんばん” as one word and “は” as another, not as one set phrase.
Could you specify which lesson you are experiencing this in?
It’s in the “JapaneseLingQ - Greetings and Goodbyes” Login - LingQ I also can’t highlight “こんばん” at all.
It definitely appears to be a glitch. We’ll take a look at it and see what the problem might be. Thanks for letting us know.
Sorry for the delay. This should now be fixed. Please let us know if you encounter any more issues!
