The language drop down has recently been changed so that if the number of known words is over 10,000, it will be rounded to the nearest 1,000 and will show up in abbreviated form (e.g. 11k instead of 11,389).
I, personally, don’t like this. Just let me see the exact word count. There is enough space to have the exact count. The exact count makes it easier to see which languages you have high word counts just by how many digits are there. And more importantly, it allows you to see your progress in known words, no matter how small, and seeing progress is important for motivation.
