I think that one can “hack” a language.
But only in the sense that you can do things that aid your natural ability to acquire a language.
i.e. you could take a phrase-book and learn some phrases, this will allow you to get input from native speakers, some of which may be comprehensible.
you could also use the grammar rules you’ve learned to make sentences and so thereby get comprehensible input from native speakers.
I think these are the cruxes of Mr Benny’s method, at least to the extent that his method has worked.
