Actually, it is very easy to account for the sentences separated with “?” and the exclamation marks, or whatever, as well. It may be longer to test, if these are always same unicode chars in all languages ( but I guess - yes), then to code it. I will email you.

I think that making the input text box a bit smaller would help a lot. It is difficult as it is to move it round the screen, and it seems to have trouble deciding whether it wants to be on top of, or underneath, the other open application boxes on the screen.
What about this new LingQ API thingy, do you understand it? Does that mean that we will be able to feed known/unknown words statistics into our own spreadsheet applications?
Ah, I think I’ve got the hang of resizing and moving around the text boxes now 
=> “making the input text box a bit smaller” => Please specify the approx size in pixels of the Lix and of the text box you want for the next version Helen. It might make sense to send all the result into the msg box. (It will be easy for you to copy therefrom).
=> "LingQ API thingy, do you understand it? " => I think I do. It’d take, btw. quite an effort to make the first API call, namely the Login, from the kind of the application like LIX. The Dev. Environments I am less familiar with must be a better choice. Al the other API calls (which are not “secure connections”) should be easy for LIX

From what they have already given, I like the possibility to extract texts of your LingQs, and/or the associated phrases, and/or the hints, and/or their statuses. You can edit all these in your application and sent them back into LingQ, or into your personal spreadsheet. One could, for example, already now decrease the number of your unknown “blue” words, in LingQ, by combining some words’ derivatives into one word. Or stopping LingQ from coloring in blue the names of persons and the geographical names. But I am not yet swallowing the bait;-)
