Hi vet. Thanks again for the continued updates. The recent changes to sentence mode have been a game changer for me! Unfortunately regarding the new keyboard shortcuts, pressing ‘a’ now no longer plays the sentence audio in sentence mode
I added a keyboard shortcut customization option to the settings page.
For me, it works well. Did you set the keys?
The player in sentence mode is different so perhaps this is where the issue stems. There is no keyboard shortcut here for playing the sentence audio on the player

I just added the keyboard shortcut toggle button. While learning with the sentence mode, turn off the option.

Huge code refactoring for performance and clean code reasons. Fixed the issues occurring when moving between the lessons without refreshing. The existing TTS will be replaced with AI TTS when clicked.

I just found that the “Show expanded meaning section” affects the function of my script (especially the chat widget). If the setting is off, the widget is refreshed after typing the meaning of the word to the “Saved Meaning” section. So, I recommend turning on the setting for a better user experience.
Also, the shortcut features for “Dictionary and Translation” work by the button in the widget. So do not hide the buttons to use those shortcuts.
I suggest adding an option to disable color adjustments. After using the plugin, the colors become chaotic, which is inconvenient and requires manual modification again.Some known words are also colored; it would be better to just keep them as they are.
I’ll consider it. But the default color is almost the same as the original color palette, and if you don’t like some of the color settings (such as border colors and learned), you can just set the colors to transparent. Since the color setting is one-time task, I don’t think is a huge problem.
It requires too many code change.

Really want to use the new TTS but it doesnt seem to be working? Have funds in my account and tried a couple different API keys…
For me, it works well. Give me additional information.

- Console log after clicking the TTS button (F12 Button) If there’s some issue, there be an error log there.

I added the gemini-2.5-flash-preview-tts as another TTS option. It sounds MUCH better and natural than OenAI’s one (At least for me), and has 30 different voices. Find your best voice.

When you use gemini-2.5-flash-preview-tts, you can see the estimated cost on the log page. (OpenAI tts isn’t supporting this).

There’re too many possible cause for that issue.
- Is it always fail? or just sometimes fail? Google TTS sometimes return error when input is too short. I’m inspecting this but didn’t solved perfectly.
- Visite the API keys page https://aistudio.google.com/apikey and check your API plan (Free-tier or Tier 1). Free-tier users can not use advanced features.
- visit https://aistudio.google.com/generate-speech, select [Single-speaker audio], type some word, and click the Run button below. Is it work?

Always. Havent been able to get the advanced tts to work once w/ OpenAI or Google. Just plays the default lingq voice. OpenAI doesnt seem to put anything in the console when I try though.
