I know this goes against the grain, but is there a way to turn off the coin counting? I very much appreciate the tracking, words read, LingQs created, and so on. But the coin counting I find distracting and frankly annoying. Is there a way of either hiding the coin count or turning off?

If you really want to hide that, use AdBlock-like thing, and hide that with it.

Interesting idea. I’ll check that out. I’m running uBlock on my browser and it’s not blocking it currently but I’m going to toy with your idea regardless. Thx.

Indeed, what are these coins measuring? What are they good for? What can I exchange them for?
I also appreciate the other statistics you mention, because they provide specific information on my progress, but those coins are worthless in my opinion. However, they don’t really bother me; I just don’t care.

You can’t exchange them. It’s purpose is measuring your progress in a given day and signals how long is your streak.
Maybe a renaming and a less showy appearence would do it for those find it annoying. However I wouldn’t like if they would remove it as I use it to track my progress and I find it very useful.

You’re right. They are useful for measuring the progress during a given day, and I use them for that purpose. Sorry I forgot to mention this; but renaming might be useful.
